on 16-17 July, 2013, International Workshop: "Project Management– Cross-sectorial Collaboration " will be held in Tbilisi, as 5th Capacity Building event within the framework of the Programme – Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development funded by European Union. Goal of the workshop is to bring together group of stakeholders from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Japan and Ukraine with experience on management and planning of construction activities in the field of environmental preservation, in order to discuss: an issues of multi-disciplinary collaboration between different players of the construction management and exchange information, experience accumulated in each country; define tools and methodology for better understanding and smooth communication among different stakeholders.

On 7-8 June, 2013, local partners meeting with lead partner of Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development Project took place in Tbilisi, at the ICOMOS Georgia’s Betlemi Office. The meeting was attended by Hasmik Azizyan, Local Coordinator (Armenia), Secretary General of ICOMOS/Armenia, Anna Avetisyan, Financial Coordinator of Armenia, Olena Oliynyk, Local Coordinator (Ukraine), Director, Architectura I Prestizh, Nato Tsintsabadze, Coordinator, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia, Lia Bokuchava, Director, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia, Merab Bochoidze, Consultant of RCCHD Project, Director General of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia. On the meeting current issues of the RCCHD project development as well as future plans were discussed. The Agenda is attached.

On 4 June, 2013, partners meeting of Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development Project took place in Tbilisi, at the ICOMOS Georgia’s Betlemi Office. The meeting was attended by Jorgen Holten Jorgensen, Coordinator, International project, Norwegian Cultural Heritage Directorate; Nato Tsintsabadze, Coordinator, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia, Lia Bokuchava, Director, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia. On the meeting current issues of the RCCHD project development were discussed. Involvement of two Norwegian experts, their field areas and tentative dates of their visit were also discussed and agreed.

On 30-31 May, 2013, International Seminar: ""Conservation of Archaeological Sites, with special reference to the Restoration of Acropolis, Athens"” was held in Tbilisi, as 4th Capacity Building event, within the framework of the Programme – Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development funded by European Union.

On the 30th 2013. The Georgian National Museum Auditorium will host a public lecture, " IDEOLOGY AND PRESERVATION OF RUINS ON THE ACROPOLIS AT ATHENS" by Mrs. Lena Lambrinou, Architect-Archaeologist, Parthenon Restoration Project, Service for the Acropolis Monuments Restoration, Greek Ministry of Education & Culture The lecture will discuss the history of restoration at the Acropolis as implemented by the Service for the Acropolis Monument Preservation.

2nd International Capacity Building Workshop –“Managing Cultural and Urban Landscapes” will be held in Tbilisi on 15-16, November, 2012 within the European Commission Eastern Partnership Culture programme funded project Regional Co-operation for the Cultural Heritage Development.

Round Table Meeting: “New Reality – New Challenges” with NGOs and independent experts of the field of conservation in Georgia is taking place on Friday, October 26 at 16:00 at the ICOMOS Georgia office.

On October 19 and 20, two thematic seminars for representatives of local self-government bodies, related to cultural and archeological heritage, were held at “Erebuni” Historical & Archaeological Museum-Reserve.

2 thematic seminars on cultural and archaeological heritage will be held for school teachers in ‘’Erebuni’’ Historical & Archaeological museum-reserve on October 16 and 18.

17 schoolchildren ,from № 82 school after H. Poghosyan, Arabkir administrative district, Yerevan, took part in the last 2 thematic seminars organized for pupil in ‘’Erebuni’’ historical & archaeological museum-reserve. 05.10.12

The school children from Yerevan school N 35 after N. Gogol have participated at thematic seminars on cultural heritage and confessed that Erebuni castle is the closest heritage for them.

Starting from 25 September 2012, thematic seminars for school children on ‘’Cultural heritage. preserve the past for future’’ and ‘’Archeological heritage. Erebuni’’ was launched in “Erebuni” Historical & Archaeological Museum-Reserve in the context of an EU funded project. The first lesson of the thematic seminars was held in participation of the schoolchildren of N128 school after Lev Tolstoy, Arabkir community, Yerevan.

Starting from 25 September 2012, thematic seminars for school children on cultural and archeological heritage will be launched in “Erebuni” Historical & Archaeological Museum-Reserve in the context of an EU funded project. 4 schools from Yerevan and 1 school from the region are included in the first cycle of the seminars. Seminars include in total 10 classes and are addressed to school children from 12-15 ages. Their goal is to promote the knowledge about heritage, starting from the middle school age, and promote school children knowledge and presence at heritage places.
