On 15-16th `October, 2013 International Workshop: “Action Guide - how to campaign to save buildings” was held in Tbili with support of British Council. It was the 7th workshop in the series of Capacity Building events envisaged within the framework of the project Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development funded by the European Union. Participants of the workshop came from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, UK and Ukraine.

6th Capacity building workshop "Development Through Conservation"
On 5-6th of September, 2013 International Workshop: "Conservation Through development" was held in Tbilisi. It was the 5th workshop in the series of Capacity Building events envisaged within the framework of the project Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development funded by the European Union. Participants of the workshop came from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. Each of them presented cases from their own countries and shared their experiences.

5th International Capacity Building Workshop - "Project Management– Cross-sectorial Collaboration ", 16-17 July, 2013
on 16-17 July, 2013, International Workshop: "Project Management– Cross-sectorial Collaboration " will be held in Tbilisi, as 5th Capacity Building event within the framework of the Programme – Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development funded by European Union. Goal of the workshop is to bring together group of stakeholders from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Japan and Ukraine with experience on management and planning of construction activities in the field of environmental preservation, in order to discuss: an issues of multi-disciplinary collaboration between different players of the construction management and exchange information, experience accumulated in each country; define tools and methodology for better understanding and smooth communication among different stakeholders.

working meeting on cultural heritage policy - draft recommendations for heritage management decentralisation in Georgia
On 8 July, 2013 presentation of the draft recommendations on management of Cultural Heritage in Georgia, being elaborated within activity 1.1. – Development of National Policy for heritage in Georgia of RCCHD programme, was held at the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

RCCHD Project Partners Meeting
On 7-8 June, 2013, local partners meeting with lead partner of Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development Project took place in Tbilisi, at the ICOMOS Georgia’s Betlemi Office. The meeting was attended by Hasmik Azizyan, Local Coordinator (Armenia), Secretary General of ICOMOS/Armenia, Anna Avetisyan, Financial Coordinator of Armenia, Olena Oliynyk, Local Coordinator (Ukraine), Director, Architectura I Prestizh, Nato Tsintsabadze, Coordinator, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia, Lia Bokuchava, Director, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia, Merab Bochoidze, Consultant of RCCHD Project, Director General of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia. On the meeting current issues of the RCCHD project development as well as future plans were discussed. The Agenda is attached.

RCCHD Project Partners Meeting
On 4 June, 2013, partners meeting of Regional Co-operation for Cultural Heritage Development Project took place in Tbilisi, at the ICOMOS Georgia’s Betlemi Office. The meeting was attended by Jorgen Holten Jorgensen, Coordinator, International project, Norwegian Cultural Heritage Directorate; Nato Tsintsabadze, Coordinator, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia, Lia Bokuchava, Director, RCCHD, ICOMOS Georgia. On the meeting current issues of the RCCHD project development were discussed. Involvement of two Norwegian experts, their field areas and tentative dates of their visit were also discussed and agreed.

The Georgian National Museum Auditorium will host a public lecture, " IDEOLOGY AND PRESERVATION OF RUINS ON THE ACROPOLIS AT ATHENS" by Mrs. Lena Lambrinou, Architect-Archaeologist, Parthenon Restoration Project, Service for the Acropolis Monuments Restoration, Greek Ministry of Education & Culture The lecture will discuss the history of restoration at the Acropolis as implemented by the Service for the Acropolis Monument Preservation.
